Massey Hall presents

The New Pornographers new full length album Whiteout Conditions continues the group’s impressive career of acclaimed music. About the new album's first single, NPR declares, "Hold on tight: it's another relentlessly exuberant, propulsive jam from The New Pornographers." The latest in the band's deep catalog of clever and addictive power pop is "High Ticket Attractions,"

Since their debut in 2000, The New Pornographers have released seven studio albums including, Brill Bruisers, hailed as an "exuberant, synthpop-infused set" by Rolling Stone, "infectious" by Harper's Bazaar and "the grand and purposeful hookfest that you would hope these guys would come back with" by Stereogum.

The group make a special stop at Massey Hall this October, performing as part of the Live at Massey Hall Film and Concert Series.

Special guests Born Ruffians kick the evening off. With four albums, the group have developed a signature aesthetic that encompasses tightly wound, songs frothing over with hooks and cathartic lyrics. The group has garnered favourable comparisons to such quirky pop infiltrators as the Talking Heads, The Pixies and The Strokes.
