Faith Live presents

Newsboys, one of the most successful Christian bands of all time, has sold over 6 million albums, earned five gold records, charted more than 25 No. 1 radio hits, and received four Grammy nominations. Their album In the Hands of God offers a fresh perspective on the band’s journey, reflecting on their early struggles with raw energy and urgency. By revisiting their humble beginnings, the band channels that fire into a collection of unrelenting, catchy melodies.

The album opens with the high-energy track "The Way We Roll," blending punk vocals with electrifying guitars and rhythms. No Grave follows with powerful, anthemic chords and a fierce bridge, while songs like "Glorious" and the title track "In the Hands of God" bring moments of worship and reflection. “My Friend Jesus” adds a playful touch with humorous lyrics, and “This Is Your Life” mixes electro-pop with soaring guitars. The album ends with "RSL 1984," a poignant piano-driven piece where Peter Furler reflects on his youth.

In the Hands of God marks a significant turning point, as it is Furler’s final album as the band’s lead vocalist. Moving forward, Grammy-winning Michael Tait of dc Talk will take over the role. Furler, however, will remain involved in songwriting and production, shaping the band’s future direction. As Tait steps in, he brings his own legacy to the band, furthering the fusion of two influential musical forces.

With In the Hands of God, Newsboys not only look back on their past but also ignite an exciting future, demonstrating that their best work is still ahead.
