David Glabais is one of Toronto's most renowned and beloved guitar teachers. For over three decades, he has helped hundreds of students of all ages and levels achieve their musical dreams. Through one-on-one lessons and as well as opportunities to perform songs as a band at some of Toronto's most iconic venues, David's contributions to both music and community are immeasurable.
In 2023, David was diagnosed with throat cancer. Through the incredible care and treatment he received as a patient of The Princess Margaret Hospital as well as his unbreakable will, he was able to beat back the disease and continue his teaching.
Unbreakable is David's most ambitious and important annual concert to date, taking place at Toronto's legendary Massey Hall on Friday, November 15th, with proceeds going to support The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (UHN).
Hosted by renowned television personality, fashion editor and author, Jeanne Beker (CM), David and his students will perform a set list of classic rock and pop hits, backed by a house band that features incredible Toronto musicians such as drummer Dale Harrison (Classic Albums Live, Alannah Myles, Headstones), GTA Strings, South African born singer/composer Shameema Soni (Punjabi by Nature, LuA), Shubhankar Kamat (Piano/Keyboards), and a 5 piece horn section lead by Paul Schofield.
Special guest performers include Whitehorse, Kiesza, Aqyila, Alex Porat, Skye Wallace, Billy Raffoul, Logan Staats and more to be announced.
