About Us
The Corporation of Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall is a not-for-profit charitable organization that operates two of Toronto’s most iconic venues: Roy Thomson Hall and Allied Music Centre—home to the legendary Massey Hall, TD Music Hall, and Allied Music Centre Theatre. Guided by a professional management team and volunteer Board of Governors, the Corporation is dedicated to enriching communities through the cultural, social, and economic power of music.
Massey Hall, a National Historic Site built in 1894 as a gift from Hart Massey, remains one of Canada’s most celebrated cultural institutions. Its recent revitalization—the most ambitious in its 127-year history—includes the restoration of the Allan Slaight Auditorium and the addition of a seven-storey south tower, now known collectively as Allied Music Centre. This expanded facility features four performance venues and dynamic creative spaces for artists, educators, and community groups.
Roy Thomson Hall continues to be a cornerstone of Toronto’s arts scene, serving as the home of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and a major venue for the Toronto International Film Festival.
Our Mission
Enriching communities through the positive cultural, social, and economic impacts of music. Our mission leverages the power of music to change lives. By connecting artists and audiences, we better understand each other and ourselves. We heal, inspire, and move people. And we do all of this while driving the local economy and supporting the livelihood of thousands of people.

Our Vision
A home for every artist and fan. Our vision aspires to develop an ecosystem where artists are supported and celebrated at every stage of their career, regardless of their identity, popularity, or the genre of music they perform. Likewise, we strive to create an environment where diverse audiences and all community stakeholders enjoy an authentic sense of belonging and meaningful connections to our venues and programming.
